Message If the ECU is not in 'Idle Mode', the timing will be advanced. If the TPS Sensor and switch have not been set to.45 Volt at idle, it will not trigger Idle 'Configuration'..

Key on, push a Volt Probe into the TPS Wire on the 'Dangly Plug' Forget which wire, but if you get 0 or 5 volts that aint the one. move to the next and try
Loosen the screws on the TPS and rotate till you get between .4 to .5 volt. clamp it down.

pull the TPS plug and start the car.
let it run for a few minutes unhooked.
Plug it back in. The ECU will then read the Voltage, and snap to Idle Mode.
Set Timing.
Set any adjustments needed to Idle Speed on the Idle Control Valve on the Rear of the Intake, Drivers Side ( USDM )..
